NEBOSH National General Certificate
Posted on 22nd February 2010Safety Improvements and Training will be running their very successful NEBOSH General Certificate programme again in 2010.
The National General Certificate is a level 3 qualification which means it is aimed at those with health and safety responsibilities, such as managers, supervisors and safety representatives.
Many people choose to take the NEBOSH Certificate as a first step in a career in health and safety. The overview of safety management issues provides a sound basis for more specialist study. On successful completion of the qualification, a Certificate holder with five years experience in a Health and Safety role may apply for Technician membership (Tech IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the major UK professional body in the field. The Certificate also satisfies the eligibility requirements for Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
