To provide those in managerial and supervisory positions with appropriate knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health developed its Advanced Health and Safety certificate. Many experts agree that improvements in the standards of health and safety practices can be achieved through education and training at all levels. It is particularly important that employers and employees are aware of their responsibilities under health and safety legislation.
