Course Overview
This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute and an examination is included in the course. This training programme has been designed to provide essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety for employees working in any sector. The aim is to provide employees with health and safety knowledge which will enable them to contribute to any health and safety management system.
Course ContentUpon completion the delegates will have gained knowledge of:
- Introduction to occupational health and safety.
- Risk assessment and process.
- Common workplace hazards and controls including hazardous substances, work at height, noise, work equipment, electricity, work-related stress, fire, slips and trips, manual handling, workstation and task design, alcohol and drugs, vibration, transport and work-related violence.
- Incident reporting and emergency procedures.
Successful completion will prepare delegates to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the organisations health and safety management system.
